It is said that Papa Johns started in a broom closet. In 1984, Founder, John Schnatter (that’s Papa John) sold his car to buy pizza making equipment. Papa Johns started with one oven and a passion for making pizzas. Thus, the very first store opened in a John’s father’s tavern in a crowded broom closet. The people at Papa Johns’ chop every vegetable by hand everyday instead of using machinery. They use fresh ingredients and their pizza dough is never frozen.
Apart from pizzas, which is their specialty, they also offer sides, Desserts, beverages. Their signature pizzas include Ultimate Meat with pepperoni salami, Italian sausage, sausage, Canadian bacon and hickory smoked bacons. The John’s Favorite Pizza comes with Pepperoni, sausages, 6-cheese blend and Italian seasoning. The other pizzas are The Works and The Meats, among others. Papa’s Meatless specialties include Garden Fresh, Spinach Alfredo, Tuscan Six Cheese. There is a lighter choice of Papa’s Pizzas which include Mediterranean Veggie, Chicken and Veggies, Grilled Chicken and Canadian Bacon and Tropical Luau. They have a range of starters with Breadsticks, chicken wings and desserts which include Chocolate chip cookie, chocolate chip brownie.
